the 2.0T 132Tsi in the kodiaq (and new tiguan) is referred to as the "EA888 Gen3B". It made use of the valve timing to further improve fuel efficiency. I have not seen anything (via google) that explicitly states whether or not the 3B retains the dual injection, but i reckon it would be a safe bet that it has it.

Currently petrol engine options are 1.5 TSI 150 and the outgoing 2.0 TSI 180 I tried, and as of now diesel choices are 2.0 TDI 150 and 190hp.
The 2023 Skoda Kodiaq Sportline 132TSI might have a quoted combined fuel consumption figure of 8.2L/100km, but in the real world expect it to use a lot more than this, especially around town. VW’s 2.0L engine likes a drink when worked hard, and during some spirited drives, expect to see the Kodiaq’s fuel consumption figure in the high teens.

Instead of a diesel engine, the Skoda Kodiaq vRS is now fitted with a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine. It had 242bhp, a 6.6 second 0-62mph time and a top speed of 144mph but its high price and running
The Kodiaq 132 TSI may be smaller, but its $44,890 list price is $4980 more than the CX-8 Sport petrol, so it’ll be an interesting value comparison. With those big 19-inch alloys and the optional (and quite close to the CX-8s Machine Grey) Quartz Grey paint, it easily looks a step more upmarket than the CX-8 Sport side-by-side.
